Sat down to narrow out the new design for Godzilla from Legendary Pictures. The question for me is the legs and will they go with the traditional or the more theropod look. CGI seems to demand the more animal hind legs, yet the fans demand the humanoid foot stomping goodness we all love about the Big G.

This study falls along the Hollywood hind legs. Anyways getting closer to a final look.

Love this! It has features that they could improve on in the movie (bigger dorsal fin, feet, etc)

I really love this! unique style you got there! :)

I hope they go for the traditional legs! you'd think they would have learned from the 1998 Zilla movie.
Godzilla is such an awsome creation, don't really understand why they want to change the way it should look.
If they ruin this movie by making Godzilla a theropod Giant, then I will be really pissed off.

I've been waiting for over 13 years now for a good Godzilla Movie, Godzilla 2014 needs to be close to perfect, if not then it's probably gonna be the last movie we'll see about him.
Legendary Pictures! Don't mess this up!!!

What I find kinda funny is how similar this design looks when compared to the concept model shown at the SDCC: Godzilla Encounter. The one everyone is calling "Cobra-Neck" Goji. I quite enjoy it though.

Yeah I noticed that. My guy here is pretty close save for the legs and larger amount of dorsal spines. Though the director has said the model is close to the finished form there are some differences.  I'm glad they went with the more humanoid legs if the Model retains that feature.

Fans do NOT demand the humanoid legs, every fan I have talked to would prefer a slightly more "modern" look for Godzilla, this includes "thick" hind legs.
